Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN)
Our locally, veteran-owned hospice agency is seeking hospice nurses. The hospice nurse provides nursing care to the terminally ill patient and assistance to the family through the end-of-life journey.
Essential Functions:
Regularly assesses and re-assesses the nursing needs of the hospice patient
Provides nursing services, treatment, and preventative measures when possible
Observes signs and symptoms and reports to the physician and IDG members any changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition
Supervises and trains other nursing service personnel as needed
Develops and re-evaluates that patient/family care plan in conjunction with IDG to meet needs and maintain continuity of care
Attends team conferences
Maintains documentation as required by Hospice
Follows the policies and procedures of Hospice; observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient-related information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Current, unencumbered nursing license to practice in the state of Georgia
Minimum of 2 years as a nurse preferred
Hospice experience preferred
Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments
Must have reliable transportation
COVID vaccination, background clearance, and drug screening is a requirement

After Hours and Weekend On-Call RN
Seeking experienced RNs for weekday after hours or every other weekend on-call positions with locally, veteran-owned hospice agency. Flexible shifts available.
Involves triaging calls over the phone and making visits to patients in their home or facility when needed.
Must live within agency service area of one of the following GA counties in order to ensure timely on-call response: Columbia, Elbert, Greene, Lincoln, McDuffie, Oglethorpe, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren, Wilkes.
